Ficus

Ficus is part of a genus of about 850 species of woody trees, shrubs, vines, epiphytes and hemiepiphytes! They are in the family Moraceae. Commonly known as fig trees, they are native in the tropics! These plants are typically umbrella trees in their natural habitat.
Basic Care Tips and Tricks:
1. Ficus like to dry out 75% of the way before another drink - they don't want to completely dry out but also don't want to be wet all the time!
2. Ficus like as much light as possible! In their natural habitat they are umbrella trees - so they get the most light in the forest!
3. To get ficus to branch you can force defoliate it - cut the apex (the top of the tree) and watch for the branches to grow from the side!
